included in the $20 fee.  No classified listed until payment received. Deadline for Monday edition, going out Thursday, is Wednesday by 9 pm.
CRITICAL GUIDELINES FOR SENDING IN AN ADVERTISEMENT ELECTRONICALLY.
Normally the maximum amount of artwork or graphic is three which can be no larger than 2" x 2" each or one large one no larger than 4" wide by 5" high. The best format is JPG, but we can work ith PDF files (requires a surcharge). The absolute dpi is 72. The jpg artwork must be attached to the email.
If there is text in paragraph and headline form, then you can type it directly into the email or copied and pasted from Microsoft Word into the email.

This is especially true when there is a lot of text. Contact Pat Lamis, if you need more than 150 words. As you know people resist long typed documents.

The shorter the text and more action and vivid the words used, then THE MORE LIKELY IT WILL BE READ.
Do not send a lot of text as a jpg or pdf file. It won’t read well and in the 2” x 2” it won’t read for sure. Unless you have no more than three words as a special font, then take this advice and create something punchy and readable.  Any reworking of your advertisement is an additional $20 prepaid

per graphic, text, or photo. You can change your layout etc, up to once a week without any charge unless rework is necessary. Must be the same event that is advertised. Only one event per advertisement.

PUPPY NEEDS A FAMILY
Sweetheart's story:

Born and raised in a loving home in Apple Valley.  Mom and Dad had a kennel
of highly prized German Shepherds and kept a rat terrier as their family
pet.  Parents decided to try a litter of terriers, as terrier mama has quite
a fine pedigree.  However, Mom and Dad divorced, Dad left home, mom tried to
keep job, home, dogs all going as normal.  Now she is loosing the house and
has spiraled into a depression requiring hospitalization.

Because so many people in Apple Valley have land, the German Shepherds were
snapped up.  "Sweetheart" is one of three in the litter of terriers still at
home.  Friends of the family who work for Animal Control have been
overseeing the adoptions and says "Sweetheart" is the pick of the litter,
very sweet, loves to be held, a true companion dog, used to sleeping on the
bed, has a spot shaped like a heart on her back - thus the name.  Age is
between 8-10 months.  She is about 10 lbs, not expected to get much bigger
than she already is.

If someone is interested, please call me at 562/ 370-0437 and I'll put you
in contact with the family who is fostering her.
 Thank you! Olivia Walker

KETTLE CLASSES

I am having so much fun teaching both classes every Saturday morning and am constantly amazed by the energy you all bring! Yesterday's Progression Class was one of the toughest KB classes we have done and everyone did a great job pushing through.

I wanted to let you all know about some changes there will be starting the month of July...

The first one is that I will be raising the cost of the class to $8. I unfortunately don't live in the beautiful city of Long Beach and drive all of this equipment from Buena Park! As you all know the cost of gas is out of control. I hope you understand.

Also, since I have received such positive feedback on the variety of training we do on Saturdays, I will be adding in our monthly "competition class"  and one "special training class". This month will be self defense taught by 5th degree Master Arto.
The schedule is as follows:

July 4th- (8am & 9:30)
CIRCUIT ONLY- Get a full body workout and burn off those holiday calories! No need to bring your kettlebells, I will use mine in the circuit.

July 11th- (8am & 9:30am)
                                      COMPETITION CLASS!
July 18th-
                                KETTLEBELL/CIRCUIT (8AM)

                                  POTLUCK BRUNCH (9AM)

SELF DEFENSE BY MASTER ARTO (9:30AM)     Learn simple and straightforward techniques that work, how to use common household tools (baseball hat, umbrella, purse)  as weapons and the striking points. Kubaton training will also be shown. Hands on workshop. This class is $10 ( All $ goes to Master Arto)

July 25th- (8am & 9:30am)
                    Kettlebell Progression w/ handout
For those that I have not met, these classes are held at Bixby Park (Junipero/ Broadway) in Long Beach. There are no monthly fees or contracts. Please bring a mat and water. All levels are welcome, however please be free of any serious physical limitations that would prohibit you from doing strenuous exercise.

A poignant play about faith and family, diversity and love.  Ruth and Alex McCormick are an upstanding Mormon couple reeling from the suicide of their excommunicated son.  Stuck between their faith and their new reality, they try to come to terms with their own inner deomns and the love they lost.  This is a compelling and emotionally rich must-see story.
