Subject: Can you help ?
Best Wishes from Brighton UK.valbrown@rowfant.demon.co.ukCan you possibly help me ?
I am seeking a copy of the film - probably VHS - released in USA and Canada as "The
Pit of Loneliness" Original title "Olivia," dir Jacqueline Audry 1951 France. BW ,starring
Edwige Feuillere !. know that at one time it was available in a VHS version with
subtitles....and is currently showing in chunks of YouTube. I am trying to contact the
women who uploaded it – as yet no response.
Womyn's Lunch Brunch has such a wide circulation - I wonder if you could put an appeal
out to someone, somewhere in the USA , who might have a cassette of this film tuckedaway ? I only know of one other copy with a firm called Cinenova in London - cannot
believe that there is not another copy somewhere !
I am unable even to find out who owns the distribution rights...searchesalways lead
nowhere ! NTSC no problem.
