One Small (72 dpi) jpg. (Please keep under 4” x 5”) Logo or photo accepted of your business, which is included in the $20 fee.
No classified listed until payment received. Deadline for Monday edition, going out Thursday, is Wednesday by 9 pm.

CRITICAL GUIDELINES FOR SENDING IN AN ADVERTISEMENT ELECTRONICALLY.

Normally the maximum amount of artwork or graphic is three which can be no larger than 2" x 2" each or one large one no larger than 4" wide by 5" high. The best format is JPG, but we can work with PDF files (requires a surcharge). The absolute dpi is 72. The jpg artwork must be attached to the email.

If there is text in paragraph and headline form, then you can type it directly into the email or copied and pasted from Microsoft Word into the email. This is especially true when there is a lot of text. Contact Pat Lamis, if you need more than 150 words. As you know people resist long typed documents. The shorter the text and more action and vivid the words used, then THE MORE LIKELY IT WILL BE READ.

Do not send a lot of text as a jpg or pdf file. It won’t read well and in the 2” x 2” it won’t read for sure. Unless you have no more than three words as a special font, then take this advice and create something punchy and readable.

Any reworking of your advertisement is an additional $20 prepaid per graphic, text, or photo.

You can change your layout etc, up to once a week without any charge unless rework is necessary. Must be the same event that is advertised. Only one event per advertisement.

BLUE LIGHT FIGHT

Join the fight – Show your light
Put a blue bulb in your window,
      or on your porch light.

      Show solidarity today.
www.Blue4Equality.org

1) More and more people are already displaying a BLUE light on the front porch or window of their home and merchants are displaying a blue light in their store front EVERY DAY to show support for Equality.

2) Various CITY HALLS (and other landmarks) will light in BLUE on January 9th and 10th (the evening before and the night of the next NATIONAL RALLY which will be on January 10th, 2009).    I still need people to help co-ordinate and encourage their local city halls to light in blue so that we can get as many as possible.  I am assured that some of your readers may be able to assist.

NATIONAL ACROBATS OF CHINA TO ASTOUND CENTER AUDIENCES

The National Acrobats of China dazzle audiences with martial arts, traditional music, breathtaking acrobatics and mystifying illusion, and they are coming to the Orange County Performing Arts Center for two performances only on Saturday, Jan. 24. These rigorously trained performers use objects of daily life--bicycles, chairs, tables, poles, ladders, bowls, plates, bottles and jars--as props in shows that also feature eye-popping contortionism, drumming and dance. Their precise movements and flexible showmanship combine for unforgettable displays of magic and wonder. Enthusiastic response to the engagement has compelled the Center to add a second performance, now at both 2 p.m. and 8 p.m. in the Center's Renée and Henry Segerstrom Concert Hall at Segerstrom Center for the Arts.

Tickets to the National Acrobats of China are affordably priced from $15 -- $68, and are on sale now. www.OCPAC.org
